The company Gréement Import, founded in 1994 and based in Saint-Herblain in the suburbs of Nantes, is now a recognized player in the nautical industry. The company distributes a wide range of equipment, fittings and materials for pleasure boating to shipyards and ocean racing. The company currently has 7 employees and is looking to hire. "We are recruiting a sedentary salesman, a Mediterranean salesman, a webmanager and a sales assistant. The company is dynamic and in full rejuvenation. The turnover is increasing by 10%" says Kevin Troale, director of Gréement Import.
Work on sales methods
The market of the distribution of material for the pleasure boating is competitive, with some major actors. It is therefore important for Gréement Import to work on its sales methods. "The rejuvenation goes through our new website which will be launched in December. It will be more than a shop window with a login system, product sheets and purchase management," explains Kevin Troale. "However, we must not lose the gains we have made. We have to be on the road. Just look at the growth of Interdist. They're great colleagues and that's exciting for us."
Expand the brand portfolio
Today, Gréement Import is a distributor of the following brands: Ronstan, Easylock and Clamcleat, Andersen winches, Reckmann furlers, Gori folding propellers, Jefa steering systems, Lopolight and Navisafe navigation lights, Moonlight deck panels, but also Zhik marine clothing. The brand portfolio is expected to increase in the coming years, to accompany the company's growth. "We are well followed by brands" confirms Kevin Troale.
Professional navigators, partners in image and technique
Gréement Import is proud of the great track record of the sailing champions it supports. "Our racers have great results. We have a victory in the Tour de France à la Voile, a runner-up in the Waszp World Championship, great places in the Figaro with Thomas Cardrin and Pierre Leboucher, victory in the Volvo Ocean Race with Zhik alongside Dongfeng, Maxime Sorel in Class 40... We are faithful to these partnerships. They are good for the image, but also for the technique. The racers test the products before we put them in the catalog. Currently, they each have at least one product to test from brands with whom we are negotiating" confides Kevin Troale. Rigging Import intends to continue to translate these sporting victories into commercial results.
