Human Resources: They change jobs in the boating industry - 03 October 2018

Appointments, departures, job changes... There was some movement at CNB Lagoon, Nodus Factory, Yanmar France, MarineMax, NMMA, Fédération Française de Surf, Préfecture Maritime de la Manche.

Promotion at CNB Lagoon

Yann Masselot has been appointed Chief Executive Officer of CNB, the Bordeaux subsidiary of the Bénéteau Group since its acquisition in 1992. Deputy founder Dieter Gust since 2016, he has been an employee of CNB since 1999. Dieter Gust remains Chairman of the Board of Directors of the company.

Nodusfactory is being structured

The young textile fittings company Nodus Factory is expanding its organisation chart. Odile Laborie joins the company as general manager to support the founder and president Yves Laurant. Olivia Eidenberger, a former Plastimo employee, is in charge of business development.

First appointments for Yanmar France

Japanese engine manufacturer Yanmar Marine, which has terminated its partnership with Fenwick, is setting up its French entity. Julio Arribas, already at the head of Yanmar Equipment Iberica, becomes Regional Manager South West Europe, overseeing the activity in France, Spain and Portugal. The Yanmar Marine team in France is currently being set up. Pierre-Jean Sendra, a former Baudoin inboard engine manufacturer, has already joined the company.

Transmission to the head of MarineMax

Bill McGill, co-founder of MarineMax, the largest seller of pleasure craft in the United States, hands over. The role of CEO will now be assumed by Brett McGill, his son, who has been with the company since 1998.

NMMA President announces his retirement

Thom Dammrich, President of the National Maritime Association, will step down as President of the American Boating Industry Union. On 2 October 2018, he announced his departure, which will take effect in July 2019, after 20 years in this position.

France at the International Surf Federation

The president of the French Surfing Federation was elected to the board of the International Surfing Association. Jean-Luc Arassus will serve as an "elective member" for a period of 4 years within the International Federation.

A new maritime prefect for the Channel - North Sea

Rear Admiral Philippe Dutrieux was appointed Maritime Prefect of the Channel and North Sea on 24 September 2018. He succeeds Vice-Admiral Pascal Ausseur as head of this seafront.
