Maxime Labessouille leaves the Mercury Marine engine manufacturer for nautical textiles Serge Ferrari

Appointments, departures, job changes... There was movement at Nautor Swan, the RIF Pavilion, Azimut Benetti, Mercury Marine and Serge Ferrari.

New CEO at Nautor Swan

The famous Finnish sailing shipyard Nautor Swan has made a change of direction. The flagship of Scandinavian sailing, owned by Leonardo Ferragamo, the Italian fashion magnate, has a new CEO. Giovanni Pomati took over the company on 5 September 2018. Aged 54, he previously held senior positions with the transalpine automotive group Pirelli.

Change at the head of the RIF flag

The French RIF flag changes direction. Antoine Matthys, at the head of the one-stop shop for 4 years, joins the Quimper Lighthouses and Beacons armament. He is replaced by Stéphane Graziano.

Reorganisation within the Azimut Benetti yard

The Azimut Benetti group, the heavyweight of the motor yacht in Italy, reorganises the Benetti brand management team. Franco Fusignani, already in charge of operational production at the Benetti shipyards in Viareggio and Livorno, becomes CEO of the Benetti line. He will be assisted by a new Vice-President in charge of development, Christos Ramnialis. Former CEO Vincenzo Poeri leaves his post to dedicate himself to his family farm.

Maxime Labessouille leaves Mercury Marine for Serge Ferrari

Maxime Labessouille is leaving his position as regional manager in charge of the OEM network and installations for the outboard engine manufacturer Mercury Marine, which he had held since September 2016. He will now be in charge of the distribution of marine and furniture products for the French soft composite textile company Serge Ferrari. It proposes in particular for the nautical industry protective covers and saddlery.
