Gunboat catamarans partner with Yacht Racing Forum

Gunboat, the American luxury catamaran brand, acquired in 2016 by the French yachting group Grand Large Yachting, announced the signing of a 3-year partnership with the Yacht Racing Forum, an event for ocean racing professionals. The two partners highlight the bridge created by Gunboat between high-level sailing and mass-produced pleasure boats.

Diam 24, the trimaran extended on the Tour de France under sail

On the occasion of the closing of the 2018 Sailing Tour, the organizers announced the extension of the Diam 24 as multihull support of the race for 3 years. "We really have a boat that corresponds to the Tour because it is both budget and technically accessible. For us, it's a very good compromise," explains Jean-Baptiste Durier, director of the event.

BRP buys Manitou boat builder

On August 2, 2018, Canada's leading yachting company BRP announced the signing of an agreement to acquire Triton Industries, manufacturers of Manitou pontoon boats, one of the main players in this very popular North American market. After the acquisition of Alumacraft at the end of June 2018 the BRP group, known for its Evinrude outboard engines, continues its development in boat production.

Birth of Mer Invest, 10M € for the maritime economy

Crédit Maritime Grand Ouest will inject ?10 million into the blue economy through its Mer Invest investment fund. The sums invested will be between 100,000 and 600,000 euros, in the form of equity investments, bond issues, current account contributions and will focus in particular on yachting players.

Cherbourg Plaisance changes hands
