According to the German magazine Yacht, the announcement of the bankruptcy is official in Germany. The CEO is thanked.

Despite a renewal of its monohull range - some will say late and others too important - and a change of direction in 2015 (Lutz Henkel succeeded Constantin von Bülow), the German shipyard, in a situation of suspension of payments, has just filed for bankruptcy. An official announcement in Germany - where staff were informed this morning - but which has just reached the ears of the French Bavaria entity.

According to the German Yacht magazine, "The two shareholder investment funds Oaktree and Anchorage refuse to inject new capital into the company. The latter being over-indebted with a liability of several hundred million euros."

Remember that Bavaria had missed the boat show at the Salon Nautic in Paris, preferring to exhibit its entire range on the Boot Düsseldorf. This decision could ultimately be explained by excessive financial investments.

Despite the bankruptcy of the Bavarian shipyard, the Bavaria catamarans entity based in France (formerly Nautitech) could not be worried by the bankruptcy of number 2 of the second European shipyard. Indeed, the multihull sector is booming and the company continuing its growth .

We have tried several times to contact the communication director of the German shipyard, but we remain without answers for the moment. This information is just coming in and we will be sure to get back to you
