Bali catamarans continue to boost Catana Group sales

The Bali brand and the new Catana 53 catamaran carry the growth of the Catana group.

Strong sales growth for Catana Group in the 1st half 2017/2018, driven by the new Bali catamarans and Catana 53. This dynamic is set to continue.

Strong revenue growth

The Catana group, the French specialist in cruising catamarans, through its Bali and Catana brands, presented its indicators for the first half of 2017/2018. The company's turnover for the period reached 26,5 M €, up 43%.

More new boats and fewer services

Total yacht sales, including new yachts, trade-ins and brokerage, amounted to 24,5 M €, compared with 16,1 M € during the first six months of the previous financial year. Growth is 52%. New catamarans alone represent 19 M €, while brokerage is growing strongly.

The service division's turnover fell by 15% to 2 M €.

The group anticipates annual sales of between 52 and 55 M € for the 2017/2018 financial year.

Validation of the product plan

The Catana Group is delighted with the good results. He sees it as the validation of his development strategy, through his refocusing on the dynamic multihull market and the creation of the Bali range to reach a wider public of boaters than his historic brand Catana. In 4 years, its production of new yachts has quadrupled. The yard is now the 4th largest catamaran manufacturer in the world. He indicates that the ramp-up of Catana 53 and the success of the Bali 4.0, Bali 4.3 and Bali 4.5 models ensure a strong increase in the order book, offering visibility until 2018/2019.
