Simarine's Nereide connected electrical panel wins over the DAME Award jury

Simarine Nereide electrical panel on the Elan GT5 sailboat

Simarine wins the DAME Award in the marine electronics and software category, with its Nereide electrical panel. Connectivity and design convinced the jurors of the nautical innovation prize.

An electrical panel connected

Simarine's Nereide Smart Power Panel won the DAME Award 2017 at the METS Boat OEM Show. Beyond the classic functions of an electrical panel on board a boat, allowing the control of the power supply of the main equipment by buttons, the Nereide integrates a touch screen, allowing easy control of the different levels of battery charge and tank filling. Nereide's main innovation, the panel's Wifi connection allows the yachtsman to manage the electrical installation on board from his smartphone or a tablet. A manual emergency mode ensures the necessary safety in navigation. Its anodised aluminium front is waterproof. Screen consumption is less than 250 mA.

A disputed category

The DAME Award jury praised Nereide's innovation and design on a traditional product in a category as broad and innovative as electronics. "It is remarkable that an electric panel is, after a long debate, declared winner in such a strong and growing category. Simarine's Nereide was selected by the jury for its elegantly detailed front panel, its Wifi remote control via tablet or smartphone and its emergency analog control in case of digital system failure."

Slovenian water sports

Through the Nereide Smart Power Panel, a company from the dynamic Slovenian nautical industry is rewarded. The Nereide is installed on Slovenian Elan GT5 yachts.

The Nereide Smart Power Panel will be presented on the Kent Marine stand at Nautic 2017.
