The company Iguana Yachts carries out an important fund raising. On the menu, technical and commercial development for the amphibious pleasure boat specialist.

New investors

Iguana Yachts was founded in 2008 by Antoine Brugidou, former director of Accenture, to design and build amphibious boats for yachting. It has already marketed more than 30 boats equipped with caterpillars since its creation. To continue its development, the company, based in Caen, has just raised more than 2M €. The operation was led by Normandie Participations, a regional equity investment structure in Normandy companies.

Several French Tech entrepreneurs have decided to invest in Iguana Yachts. Among the most famous, we can note Pierre Kosciusko-Morizet, Pierre-Noël Luiggi, president of Oscaro and Dan Vogel, business angel, all welcoming the operation. Pierre Kosciusko-Morizet thus moved naturally from the status of client to investor. "Being a convinced client, becoming an investor was obvious as soon as the opportunity presented itself."

International consolidation

Iguana Yachts indicates that the funds raised will accelerate the development of its range of boats and strengthen its international presence. In particular, it wishes to select new distributors abroad. This is a major challenge for the yard, which generates 85% of its turnover from exports.
