The Bénéteau Group presents its 2017-2020 improvement plan, with ambitious growth and profitability targets.

The Transform to Perform Plan

During a day devoted to investors, the Bénéteau Group presented the measures of its"Transform to Perform 2017-2020" plan on 7 June 2017 in Bordeaux. This set of measures should make it possible to improve and transform the results of the Vendée leader in yachting by 2020.

The 4 main areas of work focus on the following key elements:

  • The multihull segment
  • North America
  • Product development
  • Improving industrial performance

Double operating margin

At the global level, the group aims to achieve a turnover of 1.4 billion euros in 2020, against 1.1 billion in 2016. Current operating income should reach 115 M euros, going from 4% to 8.5%. To achieve these objectives, annual investment should rise from 68 million euros in 2016 to 75 million euros in 2020. The Bénéteau Group aims to triple net earnings per share to 1 €/share in 2020.

The Boat division, which includes all the sailing and motor brands, aims for a turnover of 1.2 billion euros in 2020, up 6.2%. The annual investment in 2020 is estimated at 70 million euros. These growth objectives are based on continued international expansion and an ever-increasing range of products and services.

To achieve its margin expansion objectives, the group's nautical activity works on 4 levers :
