A Mediterranean technical centre
Port Napoléon was created in the 1990s by British and Dutch shareholders. It was from the Dutch founders that Port Adhoc took over the Rhone dry port on 22 December 2016. Offering 1000 places on land on a median of 12 hectares, as well as 250 floating rings, as a public service delegation for the Grand Port Autonome de Marseille, the Port Napoléon marina has established itself as an important technical centre of the Mediterranean basin. Many yachtsmen and professionals come here to prepare boats for the season or for long voyages, taking advantage of a wide range of specialised companies, from mechanics to welders and sailboats.
Developing the nautical platform
The group's strategy for the Port Napoléon is based on two axes, explains Clément Héliot, in charge of development for Port Adhoc. "We wish to develop the service offer to customers, on the model of what we offer in our other marinas, but also to extend the technical offer. The rise of the nautical platform, with the arrival of new professionals, will reinforce the attractiveness of Port Napoléon."
Investments should follow on handling means.
A generalist leader in the marina
With the 1250 rings of the Port Napoléon, Port Adhoc becomes the first private marina operator in France, with almost 4500 places. They are distributed floating or dry on the 7 sites, which are, besides the Rhone port, Bayonne, Leucate, Paimpol, Port-Médoc, Saint-Nazaire sur Charente and Soubise.
With a diversified offer, Port Adhoc is positioned as a versatile operator, capable of managing berths, moorings or dry berths, on bers or in racks. If the group invests in the few private assets available, it also wishes to develop its public service delegations. Its shareholder base, which includes NGE, France's 4th largest construction and public works group, originally Port-Médoc, the investment funds Naxicap, NextStage and Esfin, also includes Caisse des Dépôts, which is very active in the development of French marinas. Created in 2004 to develop dry ports, Port Adhoc quickly grew. There is no doubt that the company should not stop there...
