Sensation Océan and Grand Large Emotion together to rent multihulls.

The Ultim 77 Emotion Ex-Gitana 11

Sensation Océan and Grand Large Emotion are commercially partnering to offer racing multihull sailing in the Atlantic and Mediterranean.

The association of two specialists

Sensation Océan was created in 2006 in Lorient to offer companies and individuals the possibility of sailing with a skipper on board racing boats. One can mention in particular the former ORMA Foncia trimaran, made available with skipper Alain Gautier.

Grand Large Emotion has been offering comparable outings in the Mediterranean since 2010. First on the 60-foot ORMA trimaran, formerly Sopra Group, the sailings have been made since 2015 on the former Ultim class Gitana 11.

Each of the two companies has developed an expertise in the very specific market of charter racing boats for companies.

Expanding the geographical offer and the available fleet

If the site of Lorient and the Breton coasts have an undeniable attraction for the amateurs of sailing, the possibility of sailing in the Mediterranean will attract a new clientele for Sensation Océan.

In addition, the alliance of the two fleets allows the panel of boats to be extended from 25 to 77 feet:

  • the 60 foot (18.28m) ORMA Sensations trimaran ex-Foncia,
  • the trimaran Ultim 77 feet (23.38m) Emotion ex-Gitana 11,
  • the 74-foot maxi-catamaran (22.50m) Explorer
  • the fleet of 8 one-design catamarans of 25 feet (7.65m) COD25, ex-catamarans of the Trophée Clairefontaine.

For Brice Lavirotte, director of Sensation Océan, the initiative"makes it possible from now on to have a complete commercial offer, with not only a fleet that has no equivalent, but also a geographical opening on the Mediterranean which is a real plus, particularly on the market of company seminars. It is also a way to rationalize and optimize our commercial and communication investments.
