VigiNav, monitoring the electrical network of a boat

Launched for the 2016 Grand Pavois, VigiNav is a system that monitors the electrical installation of a boat. Or how to see where the current passe??

Viginav is a system for monitoring and understanding electrical problems. It is installed in parallel with an existing electrical installation, retrieves information on the various devices and centralizes everything on a display. To retrieve the information, the system relies on modules that connect to existing sensors.

These modules work with any type of probe, digital or analog. For example, a module connected to a bilge pump will tell the central unit if the pump is running, but most importantly - and this is the most important - when and for how long the pump has been running. This information can reveal a slight leak for example. Thus the connected module makes the pump"communicating".

The main screen, the UGC (for Graphic Control Unit) centralizes all information. A memory card is used to store the data. From the screen, problems can be easily understood and detected. This type of assembly will interest all the boats, with sails or motor, to follow and understand its electrical installation. It is intended for electrical installers or even for individuals with good electrical knowledge. Developed by the MU13 design office based near Saintes, VigiNav is now available to the general public.

Count approximately 1000 € for a complete installation. The UGC, master piece of the puzzle is worth 359 € and the modules between 119 and 175 €.
