Winners of the DAME 2015

Registration for the METS Design Award is now open. The opportunity to make its new products known and to support the NGO Amref.

A recognized award

Created in 1991, the DAME (Design Award METSTRADE) has become a world reference in boating. It rewards each year at the METS in Amsterdam, dedicated to equipment and accessories for the nautical industry, an innovation made during the year.

In the last edition, two products came in a tie, Spinlock's Lume-On lifejacket and Humphree's electric interceptors and stabilizer fins.

An opportunity to promote the product

For James Hall, sales and marketing manager at Spinlock, who has already won several times,"Winning the award in 2015 with the Lume-On lifejacket reminded us of the importance of this international award. Recognized at all levels of the boating industry, she immediately put the Lume-On in the spotlight. The product has become a hot topic for journalists, distributors, vendors and other sales channels, making it a fantastic launch pad."

Solidarity registration

Each company must pay 150 € registration fee. The entire amount is donated to the Amref association. This year, it will support the project"A healthy future for Kilindi girls", which aims to develop an alternative rite of passage to female circumcision in a remote area of Tanzania and to improve hygiene and access to safe drinking water.

The registration deadline is September 20, 2016. The award will be presented by the jury of independent experts during the exhibition in Amsterdam in November 2016.
