Navily, the application opens to Spanish and Italian ports

Navily application

The Navily mobile application is developing and expanding its stopover reservation service in Spain and Italy. Benjamin Rousseau talks to us about the company's prospects and the offer for the ports.

At the service of boaters...

Created in June 2014, the Navily mobile application describes itself as a community coastal guide. It allows boaters to prepare their cruises by consulting photos and opinions of other users on anchorages in the navigation area. They may also make requests to call at registered ports.

And marinas

Navily offers marinas a reservation management service. An interface allows the harbour master to present the port, its services, its environment and its rates. A secure reservation service is included and allows the person in charge to validate the request of the yachtsman, in one click. A follow-up of the turnover on the platform is also available.

The annual subscription is now 1000 € per year and per port. This is the company's sole financing, excluding investors and fundraising. No advertising is placed on the application.

Geographic development

For the past two years, Navily's port offer has been steadily increasing. The application is now attacking the international market, with the integration of ports in Spain and Italy, after the West Indies this winter. For Benjamin Rousseau, co-founder of Navily,"The objective is to reach a hundred ports by the end of 2016, spread over 45 in France, 30 in Spain and 30 in Italy. Being part of the network thus increases visibility for registered ports.

International users

Of the 15,000 users to date, 30% are foreign, including 10 to 15% Italian, 5% Spanish, the rest using the English interface. The multilingual interface in French, English, Italian and Spanish allows boaters and harbour masters to exchange simply without the language barrier. In order to further increase the customer base to be offered to ports, the company plans to develop versions in Dutch and German in the summer of 2016.
